A few steps to make you computer faster (defragmentation)
Your computer is generally slow. To fix the problem, you need to hire me for a
couple of hours and I will build a super-nice system for you at a reasonable fee.
Unit then, there is a temporary solution. It is called disc defragmentation.
The basic idea behind the process is to move all files (and parts of files) to
one location on the hard drive. So instead of being scattered all over, they are
neatly condensed in one area. This makes everything faster because Widows will
spend less time waiting for the hard drive and concentrate more on what you
tell it to do.
follow these steps;
0. get the software: please do not use the genja.org
links unless the others are broken
Piriform Defraggler
filehippo.com
defraggler.com
genja.org
Moo0 DiscCleaner
download.cnet.com
genja.org
1. Double click the DiscCleaner installation file,
press next five times,
let the `launch moo cleaner' check-box alone,
hit the long [close] button.
2. Click the label of the size column,
select unwanted items.
click [clean now!].
3. Double click the piriform defraggler installer.
Uncheck `install yahoo bar' before you hit [Install].
Select some disk - you will probably want `C:'.
Click [defrag].
4. Leave your computer alone for an hour or more.
I recommend you that you initiate the defragmentation
process just before you go to bed. This procedure should be
repeated on a monthly to quarterly basis and will require most
time the first time you run it.
below are some screen-shots if you find that sort of thing useful in a how-to:
install the moo cleaner application

press next five times..

after a successful installation run DiscCleaner.
select garbage-files which you don't need. in the simple interface of Moo0.

avoid unnecessary garbage by deselecting the `Install optional Yahoo! Toolbar'

you might want to check the box called `Move large files to end of drive during whole drive derfrag'
in the `Defrag' tab of the `Options...' dialog under the `Settings' drop-down menu.
Let me rephrase that:
Settings->Options->Defrag: check `Move large files...'

click [Analyze] to see if you need defragmentation (you do) and [Defrag] to run the defragmentation

Thanks for reading! Have a crappy day.
